South Arm was established in 2019. We are an international company supporting mineral exploration specialists in 3D modeling, advanced exploration techniques, data management with novel workflows, and data quality. In-house and e-training for companies or entry-level professionals using the clients' data or training datasets. Working across continents with projects in Peru and Australia.

Takeshy X. Coaquira

Director


Takeshy is a Peruvian geologist. He worked as principal exploration geologist for BHP in the Australasia region; His specialties include the use of geochemistry applied to target generation for porphyry, IOCG and sediment-hosted copper systems. He previously worked for Rio Tinto as a project geoscientist, where he wrote his undergraduate thesis on the largest Peruvian Cu-Mo porphyry deposit, La Granja. Takeshy conducted his Ph.D. research at the Centre for Ore Deposit and Earth Sciences (CODES), University of Tasmania at the supergiant high-grade Resolution Cu-Mo porphyry deposit in Arizona, underpinning fundamental controls and characteristics of high-grade hypogene copper ores as well as the use of white mica chemistry applied to mineral exploration.
