Expert-led courses in mineral exploration, geochemistry and applied geophysics. Learn from industry professionals and gain practical skills for real-world applications.

Miocene magmatism in northern Peru, caused by the subduction of the Nazca Plate beneath the South American Plate, was essential for forming major copper and gold deposits. Calc-alkaline intrusions and volcanic activity created large hydrothermal systems that transported and concentrated metals, leading to the formation of important porphyry copper-gold and high-sulfidation epithermal deposits such as Yanacocha, Cerro Corona Mine, and La Granja.

Online workshop

Face to Face, Lima, Peru This workshop aims to provide practical tools for effective copper exploration, by mastering the fundamentals characteristics of the deposits formed in these systems and learning emerging tools to explore for giant deposits. It uses examples from some of the main world’s Cu and Au mineral systems, including porphyry, IOCG, high-sulfidation and low-sulfidation epithermal, and intrusion related systems.
